after the alternative meltdown, new wave became an in-thing locally in Tagbilaran City. that was around 2000. and this band had a publicized concert at the now-defunct Busai, Bohol Quality Complex. mistaking them as just one of those show cover bands in visayas simply milking the appetite for party of the young local elite, i purposedly missed the event. 5 years later, i saw them in national tv and i was more than surprised. i was angry. how could i miss that moment to watch the pre-stardom act of this wonderfully bittersweet musical unit. stupid me. but then how could i know that this humble lads from cebu would turnout to push the southern invation in manila and help advance indie music awareness into the filipino music scene.
